hey guys ,
help please.
i have a packard bell...and i am running xp. i came home today and it would not boot up. it gave me some options such as "safe mode"
last known configuration....or summat like that.but none of them would work. in the end i looked at the manual and it said i could do a system restore.
1 was a destructive restore
2 was none destructive
2 was supposed to keep all my personal files in a folder nice and safe...but i cant find them.
even nwo when i turn the computer on a box comes up telling me the system restore is complete and i can retrieve my files from
my documents
system applications
or just search for them
.......well i looked everywhere but i cant find them
has anyone vever done this before and can they help me please the stuff i have lost is very important
regards
bill

hi m8
i know this may sound a little simple but maybe when you did a system resotore on your pc Xp may have thought that your exsisting files were part of critical windows files and make them hidden by defualt? have you tried going into my documents and clicking on the toolbar 'view' and going to folder options then clicking 'show hidden files and folders' then click apply.

hope that helps :)
