i think the pads are black, like on the back plate, and on my agp cooler these little black pads cut to cover the entire surface of what they are stuck onto, the grease is just a little square that dun coverup the entire heatsink surface on bottom and its grey, like arctic, i would still get a small thing of the grease, and put a bit more on(thicker layer) lol, cuz i dun think they put enuff on, and this is a long friggan runon sentence HHAHAHA sigh
