Me and my dad recently got into an argument on the risk of online games. I use low profile games with minimum file sharing with each-other and reliable game makers (Blizzard, Sierra, etc.) But he still claims that i am at risk of getting a virus or a hacker to infect our computer. Can someone seddle this argument??? I don't see how in any way i can get a virus from counter strike or Diablo2

yes you can, if you download a new map with a virus or turn your Firewall software off to stop the game from crashing. (you know when you get an information banner (Norton) it close the game sometimes.)

Only accept maps from people you know and even then make sure your firewall is on just in case. Other than that i do believe it is bassically safe

Also dont give away things that are important to random people, i.e. password to your account, why would anyone do this anyway? My advice, play with friends you know, and try to keep a low profile when playing with people you don't.
