OK - I am aware that I'm new here, and this is a very hard question for my first post, but there we go.
I am in charge of the visual graphics at a large 'talent show' (for want of a better word), and I need to get something good. What I want to know is can I use a laptop, and have a live audio feed from the PA mixing desk into the laptop. Is it possible for this audio feed to be than used to generate visualizations, either in Windows Media Player or something else.
Whatever the answer is, it must be free (no shareware or anything!), reliable and capable of supporting a dual-monitor set-up.
I await eagerly any answers you can come up with.
Thanks
