Macs really aren't that good... graphics power compared to the PC is becoming lesser with the AMD64s 64-bitting and the HTs Dual Threading. With the PC Dual Processors, and both makers making 64-bit Processors the Intel version will surpass the G5 once more by at least 20% if not more. The AMD probably won't be far behind, if not ahead of the G5.

Its all down to compatibility - the PCs have a far larger user base and more peripherals, more software... its harder to integrate a new line of Processors into a User-End generally Mid-Range market like the Mac, becuase its user market is High-End generally rich looking for power - Mac Processor makers hence can go for more power and budget for it and make money still.

Apple G5 pwns any PC in existence.... ANYDAY! That new 2.5GHz Dual system is the fastest PC in the world (home user) right now. Also, Apples are great for graphics design. HL2 was made on a few MACs... As was DooM3....

What a load of crap! The Athlon 64 pwns the crappy G5. I already posted benchmarks which show the Dual 2.5GHZ G5 can't even defeat a single processor P4. You are way off dude. HL2 was not made on Macs, and nor was Doom3. what kind of crack are you on?

The G5 doesn't even lead in Photoshop anymore. IT is ridiculous. The fastest PC in the world is the Athlon 64 Fx-55. No doubts about it. Only fools would doubt me.
