browser problems

i just reinstalled xp on my computer and for some reason when i am in the browser and i scroll up or down it moves real slow, i have a solid broadband connection and a pretty recent computer. what could be the problem?

Are you using IE? If so, switching to an alternate browser, such as Firefox or Opera may help.

You might also want to check if smooth scroll is enabled. It's an eyecandy feature, and thus, not necessary. It might be causing the problem.

Go with Mozilla FireFox. It pwns IE.

Yeah, FireFox has really good pop-up protection. Although it loads a tad slower than IE, it is way more customizable and secure than IE. Because most hackers are oriented to IE's HTML format, FireFox is harder to hack (supposedly).
