Two, how is he suppoused to be able to download Firefox if he can't resolve domains?

No, had to edit his sig so i could actually read stuff, once i did that, yes i did read his post.

I have a feeling airiox's solution won't help, so you might as well try Firefox.

probably not. This isnt a DNS problem, just an IE problem.

He'll have to tweak with the internet settings, or just install sp2.

anyway without the ip address for the download i couldn't get it could i ?
i have downloaded the firefox browser and it won't load the pages, or its own page.
i am rappidly heading for a re format!!!!

hi guys,
it is a compaq p.c.
guess what, it wont let me into the bios!!!!
i hit the system restore button on it and all is well now.
do you have trouble getting into all of compaqs p.c bioses?
it will let me go to change boot sequence, but that is all.
any way its ok now, thans for your time.
