i have a c partition and x partition............ anyways i only have one hard drive

say i have a virus on c and i want to format it again or use some sort of recovery format........

would formatting it delete the partition x aswell............

but it was orgianally one hard drive......... wouldnt it change back to how it waqs b4 creating a partition

woah tty confused.......... er........ ok let me explain again..

i have one hard drive......... partitioned into two
c: and x:

k if i need to format the hard drive again....... (restore disk) would it wipe out everything on x partition as well as c: beacuse it is one hard rive

if you need to reformat, you can save anything you dont want to lose on the x side of your partition.
if you use windows xp, you will be asked what part of partition you would like to format, if you choose the c partition you will clean all from it including your oppeating system. you would then have to reinstall it with your windows disk. you could then move your saved files back from partition x.
i am not an expert, but i think it works something like that.
