Can anyone help?(cd-rom drive problem)
I have just installed a new cd-rom drive. I connected the same 3 leads to the new cd rom drive as they were in the previous one.(cd drive as master) However when I install a disk, the cd-rom does not recognise it and won't run it!
When the cd is in the drive it does make a clicking noise, as if it is trying to run it? When I go into cd-rom drive properties, the message says, it is working properly and no drivers are required or have been loaded! The cd drive and the light on the front do work!
Has anyone got any ideas why the new cd drive won't recognise or run any disks?
