XP Home vs. XP Professional

Waiting until Longhorn won't answer the problem :D They'll be a Home and a Proffessional and a Media Centre and a Tablet and probably more after time.

I only got Pro because I... erm... got it for free :D Legally ;)

LOL Yeah, my dad knows this computer "geek" who's retired, and he had Windows XP Pro w/ SP2 (legal version *ahem*) so he gave it to me. Not to mention, he's super rich so he could probably afford a bazillion Windows XP Pros.

Seee... thats a good sign of what is a great thing to become - a Computer Geek; then you become (if you're good at it) Super Rich :D

And its one of the few things huge amounts of people would enjoy becoming because there are so many different places specific groups of people can go into; Software Development, Advertising, Management, Software Research, Market Research, Hardware Development, Technical Specialists, Software Specialists, Repairmen, Technicians, Administrators - there's a list as long as your arm for anybody interested in anything on the Microsoft Careers Page.

I was pondering this question a while ago.. Home or Professional... blah.. I'm staying with Windows 2000 Pro.

a lot of colleges will prefer your have windows professional not home edition, because it secures their networks more, but professioal is just more network freindly in general, will not affect your games.
