I'm planning on getting a new video card soon and I was wondering what is the best one I can get. Heres my specs
AMD Athlon 63 3200+
512 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM
120 GB 7200 RPM Ultra DMA Hard drive
DVD+RW/CD-RW
CD-ROM
250 watt power supply

What is your price range and what interface? AGP or PCIex?

I would go with a 6600GT, 6800, or a X800.

Would they run with my specs. I only have a 250 watt power supply. Don't you need atleast a 300 watt for those? I want to stick with AGP.

Ah yes didnt notice that, a 400W PSU is probably needed or else they will work unstabily.

Price doesn't matter I was just wondering what the best card is I could put in so I can start saving money.

X850 XT PE is the fastest card out there. It will be difficult to find.

Its not yet out there, but you can see the price is just crazy.

I recommend the MSI 6800 GT, its a affordable and nice card.

Whoa a 6800 and X850 can be ran with my specs. Did you leave out the power supply again? Someone else told me to stick with nothing bigger than a 64 mb card but I came here to be sure.

Does anyone know the biggest power supply I can put in a Compaq Presario SR1226NX? I think it's a Mini ATX case and I can only find at the biggest is a 450 watt.

Okay forgot out PSU, that limits alot. I recommend upgrading that to atleast a 300 to 350w.

For that PSU, I think a 5900XT might work
