Thread starters and lockers

I think that a thread starter should beable to lock their own thread if people start fighting or getting way off topic on it. It would prove to have alot more flexibility and many people would be happy.

Let me know your thoughts on this guys and gals.

hmm yes I suppose it would need a total revamping of the site, its just that whenever I start harmless threads theres always a couple trouble makers that turn it into a fight, so I would like the option to lock it.

It sounds like a good idea but it is open to exploitation.

a good thought though but a lot of work. I guess it is just as easy to click report but you feel like you have less power which is a good thing and a bad thing

and if you can lock your own posts then you may be able to lock other posts.

It is a good idea; but its a problematic idea that could only work really with Promotions and more umph put into Reputation through Promotion - and that would be dreadfully hard to put in place whether it would work or not.

It wouldnt be good at all. every thread would be closed.
