windows media 9 help

i loaded windows media 9 because we are trying to watch a dave chappelle show we got.. it wont work because it says we dont have the right codec's or somthing.. now its not asking for it.. how do i fix it?

Try downloading Windows Media 10. Has lots of codec updates, especially for DivX based video.

his computers really slow, and i dont know if it would be able to do it.. its running windows 2000. Is there anyway to make a laptop with average memory run a bit faster?

If you haven't run basic Windows maintenance in a while (error check, defrag, AdAware, cleaning out the harddrive, temp files, temp internet files, etc) try that. It may take some time, especially the defrag, but it might improve your laptop's speed. If you have done all of these very recently, then compression software might help. But if the laptop is just an older model, then the best solution would be more RAM.

don't try overclocking laptop because laptops cost a lot of money, i will say no more.

Get WMP 10 instead. It also looks slightly better than WMP 9.

yeah, you need a windows media player dvd decoder pack, I'm not sure where I got it, but I have it
