(AMD) Processor Problem

I order an AMD Sempron (2.0 GHz) today and when i installed the processor my computer showed the processor as an AMD Athlon XP 1900 + (1.6 GHz).

Can any body explain what is going on here, i know my motherboard supports Athlon but i didn't expect this

yes your fsb is not set right, my 3200+ (2.2ghz) runs on 400 fsb. If i lower the fsb to 333 it comes up as 2500+ running at 1.8ghz!!!!

no probs, just go into ur bios and ghange it in there, if u cant do that then it could be ur ram limiting ur fsb!!

well here how it goes, i am so thick, i brought a processor that needs 333 FSB and my motherboard supports 200. I cannot believe i missed that.
