d-link and linksys have never gotten along

yah case my sis's network caard hated being connected to the linksys router.a dn DHCP wouldnt work so we had to set static address. an also her card borke when we took it out of the pci slot!!! it wasa sure cheap!!! yuck!

Linksys makes a router/cable modem combo =)
I would also suggest making sure that if your not using a router to make your computers static ips... must be same subnet tho
computer 1 IP: 192.168.1.100
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
DNS: 192.168.1.100
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
computer 2 IP: 192.168.1.101
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
DNS: 192.168.1.100
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
