very urgent please help

my pc shuts down by itself then i cannot turn it on back. it has been like this since 3 days. what can be the reason, a virus or what? please help.

The problem is probably with your powersupply. Was there a black out when this happened or something. Well the problem is in the powersupply, try to get new one. Oh and did you check the little switch on the back is set to 115V.

Happened to me...well for me...there was a swithc on the back of the power supply to change the volts i played with the a little and i gues it jumped it or something...but the point...i worked

Yeah - it does seem to be with the Powersupply. There is no other serious explaination unless something has tripped a circuit or melted a connector.
