okok basically the problem is that i need to turn on my mp3 player when i want to exchange files.......... my mp3 isnt rechargable so it eats away my battery.......... is there any program that will allow me to exchange files through usb without having to turn on my player?

well when you plug your mp3 player into your computer it should get its power from the PC, try taking out your battery out of your player then plug the mp3 player into your USB Port.

what is the make and model of your MP3 Player because this is a new one for me.

When you have plugged the mp3 player into your computer then can you take the battery out?

er havent tried that.......... my mp3 was bought in Hk so i dont know if u can find it .... its called I-mad. i need to first plug it all in to my comp then i have to turn it on to connect

hey man i got an MP3 player that plugs through the USB ports too, as far as i can tell you have to use your battery because the USB ports dont provide enough power, its not a big deal it isnt gunna use that much power
