I agree with everyone. Building your own can give you satisfaction of cutomized components "you want", not what you are forced to getting (well, to the extent to the motherboard that it--so get a good one). Retail gamer's PC are too highly priced, and if you do it yourself, look around the net and i'm sure you'll find some great prices for performance. I've only bought one retail system in my life and that was a bust!!!! Cheap motherboard and a low end graphics board that sounds good, but later research of the specs show the other way. You'll have a lot of fun building your own too because of the variety of parts to choose from and how to integrate them together.
