Get XP Pro (Legally of course ) or if you have it now thats better.

Use the Windows Button and L to Lock the PC. You have to have a password on your user account, but as long as she doesn't have an Administrator's Password (better if you're the Administrator) then she won't be able to get on if you press the Lock.

She could still turn it off though.

does it do that for me, most of my friends have the same problem as me with the 'Sleep Button'

I wonder if there's a utility that disables keyboard function? If you want to activate it again, there is a series of keys you enter in order to get it going again. That would be a good idea.

you can hit the windows button then d and it will show the desktop. it is easier.
