Dam Dvd Rom

I just put a dvd rom in on my pc and when i go to MY COMPUTER its only got D: DRIVE THERE i put a disk in my DVD ROM and nothing shows it opens and everything it works what do i do to get a nother drive like a virtual showing there is a dvd rom there

when you say its only got D:\ do you mean that is your DVD-ROM drive letter?

you may have checked Device Manager but if you havn't does the new drive show up there?

no d:/ is my cd and mu dvd rom is not showing up i thought this place helped

Make sure you connected it propley, Check master slave etc. Is the drive brand new?
