What's up with the variations in graphics cards?

I hear 6800, 6800GT, 6800Ultra....

What's the real difference between these cards?

6800 Ultra is better than 6800 GT and 6800. It goes nu (non ultra) then GT then Ultra for geforce6 cards.

Yup. The 6800 NU is the basic card, with the GT as the middle and the Ultra as the head honcho. Altho the Ultra is the best, alot of people prefer the GT to be better, because they're pretty much the same in clock speeds. And Ultras use alot more power than the NU or GT.

EDIT>>> And the Ultra is about $100 bucks more than the GT.

And people find it easy to unlock the pipes in the GT.
