games choppy - annoying

alright i recently bought a sony laptop - vaio. It has 512mb ram, 40 gig harddrive, 2.93mhz proceser celeron and a ati radeon igp 345m graphics card (its 64mb i think). My games are choppy when playing them especially multiplayer and i do have wireless broadband. what can i do to make my games run faster and better? its annoying i can probably upgarde some things but you cant upgrade the processor can you?

its not just my games the computer is running slow as well.... its not a virus ive done a scan.. i dont see y its slow it should be fine

1)When was the last time you done a defrag. of the hhd ?

Yeah; what speed is your Wireless? You won't be able to upgrade the Graphics Card... but is it choppy without being on the Internet Multiplayer?

What games are you playing, cuz that computer wont be able to handle much. Also turn down you settings.

its sorted now i downloaded spybot and deleted the items on there and the games arent choppy now...touch wood. and i was playin half life 2 nd call of duty cheers
