Hi quick question:
Whats the difference between AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Winchester and Newcastle?
Winchester is 90nm
Newcastle is 130nm
What does this mean? The Winchester is slighty dearer does this mean is better?

The nm is the size of the circuits/channels inside the cpu, he smaller this is less power it will use and so will be slightly cooler. People prefer Win. as in theory it will O/C more however AD seem to be having some memory controller problems and so not very good O/C. You might as well save the money and go for a N/Castle as they are a little warmer but you will get a good o/c.
Hope that makes sense
PS As most people on OCUK forums as for Win i just auto put it in but you could save £30 odd quid go NC
