LCD Screen from laptop

LCD Screen extension from laptop. Need Help!

Ok I basically want to detach my laptop's screen and have it at least 6 feet away from the laptop. I am doing this for my car computer system. Is there any way I can extend the connection of the LCD to the computer? The flex cable (on my Inspiron 3800) is a bout 3/4" long! Does anyone know where/how I could obtain a flex cable extension? Any other suggestions on getting around this problem?

Picture of plan. Back seat will have laptop screen attached to laptop underseat. The front screen will be a 7" touch screen connected to the laptop as well (not a problem). The problem I havn't resolved is extending the monitors connection to the laptop

I'd use a pc and a lcd moniotor though, but I'm sure you can do this, sorry don't have a clue though.
