Ok i've decided on a graphcis card for my new comp, it's the 128mb nvidia geforce 6800Le, is this a good card for gaming?

Simply put, no... The LE stands for Light Edition, which runs at low speeds, and is only 128MB card. The 6000 series of cards have an extremely powerful graphics engine, which really deserves high speed and raw power to push it the way it is meant to run.

If you are going with 6800 series, I would go 6800GT. Really though, it depends on what type of processor/ram/power supply/ and MOBO you have. Please tell me these items, and how much you are willing to spend (give me your absolute max price you are willing to or must push to buy a new GPU) Also, what type of games do you plan on playing (list about 10 specific titles you own or want to own with this new card, and want to play at max settings, or at least close to those). Ok, do these things, and I will fulfill my end of the deal. :D

Hey Alvino, he said 6800LE, not normal 6800. These is a big difference between the 2 as you already know anyway. Anyways, here are the differences between thge models and their speeds.

6800 128MB Editions
Listed with speeds as follows: CORECLOCK/MEMCLOCK

LE- 325/400
Normal- 325/500
GT- 350/700
Ultra- (complete waste... 325/700).

Now the 256MB 6800 Editions

GE- 350/1000
GT- 350/1000 (engine is slightly altered to have less "shock effect"
Ultra- 400/1100
ULTRA EXTREME EDITON- 400/1150 (More "shock effect with this one, but I believe it is a waste of hard earned money... )
