Hi again, I downloaded and ran Regcleaner then tried to install T/U. I got further this time and almost installed it before 'error message 1316 Network error. Wise Inst Wizard' etc. Make any sense to you guys please ?

never heard of ie backup but if it does what I think it does you can try Noton Ghost

Sorry, I meant, do I need to create a system restore point first, ie backup. Any thoughts on the 1316 error. I feel that I am so close after running Regcleaner. Also would it help to try installing in safe mode again.

Maybe try it and see and yes you need to create a system restore point to backup but I don't think it would help much since you would be backing up the fault as well

Just to end this thread. I downloaded a German version of this Prog and it works fine. Thanks to all who replied. I am well impressed as a Newbie to this Forum. Cheers G
