also is the VISIONTEK XTASY ATI RADEON X800PRO AGP VIDEO CARD 256MB any good? And does that also require that my mobo have a AGP Slot in it?

Yep that is a good card but its way out of the pricerange you gave.

I am currently using an ATI X800pro and I am getting very good frames at high settings on the latest games.

To find out if you have an AGP slot you have to take off the sidepanel and see. Your friend should easily be able to see if there is one.

Yeah it has an AGP slot in it, so any AGP card will be good. Make sure its AGP before you buy it though.

Edit: Dang, I spoke too soon, you may need to get a new case to be able to upgrade you video card. You case is only half height so it wont work with normal AGP cards.

the internals of that computer is the same of mine but mine looks different, my case is about 19-20 inches high and about 7.5 inches wide. is that big enough?
