Ram!!!

Hi guys i'm new to this forum. I gota question to the people here, Would my ram work if i dualed 2 OCZ 512 x 2 and two Kingston 512 x 2 in 4 184 pin slots(dual with each brand seperatly, 1) OCZ 2) Kingston 3) OCZ 4) Kingston)

I think it should be okay to mix brand, just don't mix speed and type.

Mixing brands has been known to cause some problems though... As long as speed and type are the same, it SHOULD work, but not as good as if you had the 4 of the same cards.

ah, i decided not to upgrade yet, 1gb dualed is good for Half life 2 and Doom 3. Maybe in a half year when i upgrade my graphics card to ATI X800, i will upgrade ram to 2 gigs dualed. Then in another year the mother board might have to be upgraded, using a P4P800. Not exactly outdated, can use the new prescott processor made by Intel and supports up to four sticks of 1gb, but i'm sure some people are a bit worse, lol
