Looking for new pc upgrades. Help

Im currently running on a compaq presario 6000 "intergrated"
anyways, the thing is that i want to upgrade my video card.
Because my pc is "intergrated/intergraded" does that mean i have to buy a new v.card, motherboard and sound card?

Wondering if you guys could point out some good v.cards, motherboards and sound cards. im looking medium priced.
a friend of mine bought a 60-80$ motherboard, and that comes with sound card too, so around that price..
and video card im willing to spend around 1-3 hundred.

you need to say what type of processor you have before we can tell you a mobo to buy.

All mobos come with Integrated sound so that wont be needed.

I would suggest a Nvidia Geforce 6600Gt AGP for your video card.

Yeah, we can't tell you anything till you tell us your CPU. .... AMD or intel? and what model?

..and should the pc restarting be a normal thing with old graphics card and motherboards?
because when i try to run certain games eg. nfsu2 the pc restarts or when i tried to test "direct draw" in directX diagnostic tool.
