Grrrrr, if we were allowed custom avatars, I wouldn't need to keep mine to myself.
The whole point of an avatar is that it reflects on someone, and it is unique to them.

so those that use the wndows xp avatar could be breaking the law..... it's identety theft!

We have over 3,500 members at this place NetLight, that's alot of unique avatars. Unless you're willing to sit there and buy us a new server to hold that amount, and gather all the different avatars for each person, and upload them, and then do the same for each new member, then sorry, but you're bound to get multiple people using the same avatar.

Yeah but what if you have an avatar on your own server...then can you use it? I mean you're not using any space from CF, what would be the problem?

I am quite happy to host my own avatar, and places like http://imgshack.us host them for free.
