well it really depends..... some cant stand living the rest of their lives behind bars, so they would rather make peace and die. some dont wanna die and would rather live behind bars. even if it is for life. i guess it would really depend what kinda of person you really are.

No it doesn't. It is the most worst punishment ever. If a person knows there is nothing afterwards that's it for them. Would rather live behind bars? Sometimes they don't deserve to live.
