How can I make Win XP run on both of my PC's?

Hello all

I've currently got a legall version of WinXP at my own computer, while my parents PC is running WinME!

Naturally I'd like to install XP over old WinME, but is that really possible? is it a way to possibly install WinXP without any "problems"? Both computers are running on the same internett connection if that make any sense to you!
