DVD burner not working

I try to burn a DVD but evrytime i tried to burn it, it says that there is no disk in the drive. I tried nero and recordnow. Can anybody help me??????

Lol; you sound desperate so I'll try to help you

Try with another DVD-R disk-What disk's are you using now??
Is the CD recognised in my computer???
Make sure the drive is working properley, by checking in device manager.
Try cleaning the disk or sommat, I don't know


I doubt that any of that will help you much, but it's all I could think of...

did it come w/it's on driver's ? i would just uninstall it & re-install it again, before giving up.

my DVD burner drive came w/ my comp. when i bought it. I did unistall and reinstalled it. but it doens't work. i can still burn CD's but not DVD's. Its kinda weird.

Just a thought, are you sure it's not a CD-RW that is also able to read DVDs?

I payed a lot of money for blank DVD's, 3 $ each. Is there some kinda test or sumtin that i could do to see if it cant just read it?

sounds like it's not the dvd drive then, but your burning software, it seems it's not recognizing the dvd drive.

the old versions of Roxio easy cd creator would just all of a sudden stop recognizing the drive.

it happened to my girlfriend & i went to the Roxio site & downloaded the update, and that fixxed the prob.

So i would go to the Nero site & search for an update for the software, they may have a fix for this.

if all else fails i would just uninstall Nero & re-install it.
