possible to set password on modem?

can I set password on modem.....i mean to say
if i want to stop dialing so? is it possible to set password?
either is there any software to set password on modem?
i want that no body dial from my computer... so need help

i thought you ment to stop people going on dont no but this my work, just before you log on click on errr i dont no its at the bottom right on the log in box on windows 98,2000, no xp i dont think it says somet about dial up click it then it allows you 2 connect at all time when logging on. I DONT NO

what browser are you using?, there should be a password setup in the dialup part when it opens.

look around the options/properties or tools tabs.if not check in internet settings in the control panel. click connections, look for a box in there that let's you put a password at the dial-up.
