Well, it also really depends what you are doing. If you are a gamer, it is proven that AMD performs better. If you like to edit videos and such p4 perform better.

AMD beats intel in just about every bench, even when they lose in a bench, it's only by a tiny margine. AMD is clearly the best in my eyes.
