Deleting Several Files At Once

I have a load of liitle files i would like to delete but too many to delete individually. I have tried going to 'select all' and deleting, but my computer freezes because there are so many files.

What i would like to do is say select them in batches of about 50 and get rid of them that way. Individually would take too long. I know you can highlight the files and delete in batches but not sure how.

When i try and highlight them all that happens is the file moves.

Anyone know how to delete in sets or know a tool that does this?

make a box with your mouse by dragging it

Ye if you start next to the file u want to start with, and drag the mouse cursour to the last file, a box should appear and all of them should get highlited, then right click one and select delete
