problem with downloading window

when I download something the download window opens but next to the the ESTIMATED TIME LEFT it says Not Known (u know which window i mean?). This has just started a week ago since I restored my computer back to factory settings, does anyone know how I can make it show me the estimated time left?

Starnge...I get that sometime, but only with a FEW files, and the download normally finishes within a minute......Is this problem just with 1 downloads, or ALL your downloads....?

ya that's strange I get it somtimes too but it sounds like he means it happens all the time.

It happens all the time when I download, I need to know the file size because I need know how long its gonna take cause my internet connection disconnects every 2 hours

you should download firefox it's better than IE in most ways... and it displays the download time for downloads.

Yeah, definately try out Firefox.

Microsoft minute = either 20 seconds, or 3 - 5 minutes.

No IE is faster, but its worst. I can take the miliseconds of slower load times for Firefox, the king of browsing.
