System Specs - Suggestions?

Ok 3 main types(speeds) of DDR memory.

PC2100= 200MHZ
PC2700= 266MHZ
PC3200= 333MHZ

Ok well on a typical motherboard heres the max you can run.

PC2100 = 3GB of memory
PC2700= 2GB of memory
PC3200= 1GB of memory

So you'd have to use the lower speed pc2700 memory in order to run 2GB.

I'm not aware of any such limitation on the RAM for that motherboard, can you point out some documentation?

In any case, 2GB of RAM would still be a better deal for someone working with graphics.

Your power supply looks great, by the way. Nothing wrong with the bigger power supply, even if you don't need it now, maybe you'll add a raid array or something later on. Seasonic makes very nice units.

Giancarlo: I've sent you a PM.

by the way the ram speeds are as follows:

Pc2100=266mhz
Pc2700=333mhz
Pc3200=400mhz

Camers was slightly wrong on that! As for the amounts i am not sure!!!!

Sorry typo :p :D yeh but no my memory allowance is correct for many board anyway! But im not sure on newer intel/amd 64 boards
