My Defrag is Down

When I try and run my Window's defrag it tells me I have another defrag currently working (even though I don't) and it can't run two apps at one time.?!?

FYI: I also have an executive disckeeper defrag installed


Any Suggestions???

Are you trying to run windows' defrag or that disckeeper defrag thing?

the version of windows would be helpful.
If its xp you can run the defragmenter and multitask at the same time-Maybe your executive diskkeeper is running in memory. Loaded at boot time.

I'm running window 2000.

It would seem it does load @ boot time, b/c it makes no difference if I shut down or not.

I get the same msg if I run microsoft defrag or the disckeeper defrag?.

All I can say is pick one to use. If you want the windows defragmenter-uninstall the other.
