Need Upgrade help

Hi. im plannin on getting a 64 bit proccesor preferably the 3200+ and a 64 bit mobo ofcourse and i wanted to know will i need the 64 bit windows or can i run it with the regular.

What u think oif my comp specs on what it will be by this november

AMD athlon 64 3200+

Nforce3 mobo wiht socket 754

2048 mb ram pc2700 already got

Nvidia Geforce 6800 by chaintech i already got

120 gb Ultra ATA 100 already got

430 watt powersupply already got

cd rw drive and a DVD rw drive already got

8.1 channel sound card built into the mobo.

go for it, and you wont need 64bit, normal will do

You wouldnt need it.

You can install 64-bit Linux today, I don't know about Windows.

None of the Windows people on here have given you a straight answer, so maybe it isn't available yet.

Definitely go for the 64-bit. Microsoft will catch up to you eventually, and in the meantime the AMD processors still support the 32-bit instruction set.

There is a kind of beta 64bit windows. Its realy crap and stuff, they offer it free if your in the USA from microsoft.com .

ahhh, thanks but i dont think ill go with the 64 bit windows, its probably gonna cost a lot.
