Id try the bios settings- If you have a setting in there called optimal try it. And let the harddisk auto detect.
If it boots and works ok then try tweaking the bios.
Could also be a defective power supply.
Well finally after i tried all what you people said i contacted IBM and is supposed to be a default of manufacture on the mother board, many of the NetVista models had experienced the same problem. I will take it to an authorized IBm center for repair. Anyway i will post the results of the "experts" of IBM.
