broadband and dial on the same pc ..how to?

hi all .... i amtrying to install a dial up connection on my pc that is already running bt broadband ... (i do websites as a hobby and need to check how the site loads at dial up speed) ... I HAVE CHECKED HARDWARE/DEVICE MANAGER etc but cannot see another modem in there !! i am sure the pc has a built in modem as it is a fairly modern board (built the pc myself) .. i have tried installing tiscali to run the dial up from but even after configuring the internet options bit it still loads up the bt external modem to get online !!! any suggestions folks?

1: make certain you have modem drivers in system
2: run the internet connection wizard and choose modem.
3: choose from the internet explorer menu tools and select your modem from connections

You have the phone line hooked up to your motherboard?

If you built the system, you should know if it has a modem. I have seen very few motherboard that actually have modems built in. Double check this. If oyu have one, it is probably PC. Windows should detect it automatically as Gary said it without much of any problem...
