newegg.com Refurbished parts

I was looking at A really nice ATI graphics card on newegg and since it was refurbished the price was only around $160. As far as I can tell the only reason that they are "refurbished" is because they were products returned to the manufacturer. So, has anyone had any experiences with getting refurbished parts from newegg?

well when they are refurbs they are fixed, and have like 6monhts warrenty most of the time. Shouldnt be at all risky!

I think they should be fine. There is nothing wrong with refurbs and you should get some sort of quarentee for peace of mind I imagine.

From what I have further read, there refurbed items you just get the product itself, no accessories at all. In stead of a Graphics card from there I may get a pentium 4 3.0GHz processor for only $170 that seem like a good deal to me, if I only have to buy the heatsink and fan. There is only a 7 day warranty though.

7 days is plenty to do some lovely prime 95 tests etc on it.

Wow you can find some good deals there. I found my same video card for only $245 which is an XFX 6800.
