Microphone Feedback :(

Hey,
Recently I bought a Microphone and headset. It worked fine for a while, and one day i took it out of the CPU to plug in my wireless headphones...A couple of days later, I put em back in and there was LOADS of feedback...Really horrible screeching noise...Of course i tried moving it around a bit and stuff like that, but it just carried on...Anybody know whats gone wrong?

check your mic settings volume....right click the speaker icon in the task bar. go in the adjust/audio properties.

then go to audio tab/ sound recording and check the volume on the mic input.
