Laptop is retarded

i have a SONY Vaio and recently it's been acting weird.

when i turn it on it automatically reboots and sets everything to default.
desktop, etc.etc.


IT randomly reboots, there is no set time between rebooting times.

i run virus checks regularly.

anybody know if it's a virus, or if there is some kind of auto reboot thing.

make sure runonce.exe is not set to startup... lots of admins will do this so when soemone does mess it up it will revert to default.

Also please tell us wat virus checker you have dont tell me its Norton get AVG from www.grisoft.com (Free)
