3 1/2 Floppy

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why once I have used a floppy and I have info on it y I am asked to fromat it?
and in relation to the above hw can i avoid this? i.e should i format before use? ( because i have a floppy now and it is asking me to format but when i do it says it cant fromat it!).

you should format before use. if it doesnt format, its broken.

p.s hw can i find out someones IP ADDRESS?

You can find some ones IP, by trasnfering a file over an instant messenger such as MSN. And then while in transfer do 'netstat -n' under run on the start menu. And if you keep watching the Ip's you'll see a new one pop up and thats your friends IP. Or use a program that can trace incomming and outgoing IPs.
