What are "prescotts"?

I heard some intel boards support "prescotts"? What is it and what does it really do?
 
It's a Pentium 4e with 1mb Cache. it runs about 10 degrees hotter than the northwood Pentium 4c. On most things it's slightly slower but Doom3 it's faster and once you o/c above 3.8Ghz it does make a difference. Though getting cooling to reach those o/c is expensive.
 
I think they are only compatible with the new LGA775 sockets, that have the pins on the mobo instead of the cpu itself :D

Yes thats correct, they are just a faster type of P4s
