Confused about the Prescott?

I bought a computer with the prescott 2.4
I thought this prescott was supposed to have hyper threading. I went into my bios and did not see anythind about hyperthreading. Can somebody explain to me what the prescott is and if I have to enable HT if it has it. I am just a beginner at this stuff.

The P4 will register 2 separate CPU's in the device manager of XP PRO *

HT is correctly implemented in WinXP Home SP1a minimal

I am using xp home. What does SP1a minimal mean. Is there any way I can check to see if in fact I do have HT running?

it means service pack 1, we are on SP2 now btw
simple way to check:
right mouse click on my computer and there should be something like this:

In the bios there's usually an option for Hyperthreading on or off.

When your in XP, press control alt del and click on performance.

You'll see two processor windows.

hey! AMD is better. intels concentrating on other things like wireless and video and other stuff when amd just does processors. the more u try to make the harder it is to maintain quality accross all lines. take dell and hp for example!
