I've tried playing .cda files on Windows Media Player, RealOne Player and some other players, but they all don't work. I got my friend to send me a song which is a .cda file, but now it doesn't work at all. I need help, and in case you're wondering, this is the error code for Windows Media Player:

Error ID = 0x80040265, Remedy ID = 0x00000000

If you can, suggest another player that might work for me. Thank you.

Hmm, I don't think .cda actualy contain the music, they just stream it of the CD in the drive. Have you tried ripping the files in .mp3 formats?

It's my friend's CD, not mine. I dunno, she can play the song with a software that came with her MP3 player, but my players don't work. I think it may be that the file is encoded with something like the Window Media Player error message said? I'll ask her to try save the song as a mp3 file, I guess. Until then, I wouldn't mind more help.

You'll need to rip the cd with a program :D To get mp3 of it. If you have nero express then its a good ripper.
