Help trying Linux.

Had a play with Suse Live running from cdrom....interested in having a go at the real thing. To use it along side Win 98 would I need to partition my meagre 40 gb HDD and install it on a seperate parttion?
Will I get a choice of OS when I switch pcc on?

Any clever people out there feeling helpful.

I tried a older version of linux. during setup it had a partition option you are speaking of. It let me keep windows on another partition. I'm sure they never got rid of that setup option.

It should let you partition it off and then install GRUB or something (boot loader.
